lyrics

False Algorithm

If these walls could tell stories of the past
Depicted on stained glass
Full of controversy
With a lack of mercy

Sacred places housing relics
That once belonged to the saints
Who are never wrong
With a vast quantity of gold
It’s exact location untold

All storms and disasters were believed to come from up there
Where hidden in the clouds
overseeing those below
On the surface unaware

Nailed to the door of the sanctuary
Was a notice demanding monetary
Feeling the constraints of debt
Something that they have not met

Overshadowed by their failure
powerless to be fractured
They were led to turn to cathedral
To hear the words of the deceitful

All storms and disasters were believed to come from up there
Where hidden in the clouds
overseeing those below
On the surface unaware

Sacraments subsequently
Questioning the hierarchy
As soon as the coin in the coffee rings
The soul of
purgatory springs

Reprimanding reformation
An order from the nation
All who do not comply
Will be held in contempt
Their lives will no longer be exempt

As the entered into the cathedral
Echoing voices of the deceitful
Their minds were filled with doubt
They heard a voice in the distant shout

Taking from the collection plate of the faithful
Despite complaints from the hateful
Wandering away from the doctrine
As they approached the coffin

If these walls could tell stories of the past
Depicted on stained glass
Full of controversy
With a lack of mercy

Sacred places housing relics
That once belonged to the saints
Who are never wrong
With a vast quantity of gold
It’s exact location untold

All storms and disasters were believed to come from up there
Where hidden in the clouds
overseeing those below
On the surface unaware
Unaware
